Gascon is pleased to announce the recent arrival of attorneys Alexandra Kallos and Frédéric Savoie to the firm.

Since the beginning of her career, Alexandra Kallos has focused her activities in the field of insurance law, first working in the litigation department of a Quebec insurance company and then in private practice. Her expertise and experience will be applied to a variety of complex and specialized cases, including cases of alleged fraud requiring in-depth investigation and the defence of school boards and institutions, product liability, personal and commercial liability, municipal liability, professional liability and personal injury claims. Her arrival supports the team’s ongoing work to develop the firm’s insurance law department.

A graduate of the Université de Montréal‘s Faculty of Law, Alexandra possess and undergraduate degree in psychology, which is an invaluable asset to her in terms of negotiation and conflict resolution. Alexandra also devotes her time to NPOs such as Préma-Québec, where she was a member of the board of directors, and Éducaloi, for which she was a volunteer educator.

Frédéric Savoie joins the firm’s litigation and business law teams. He will be called upon to draw on the experience he acquired in litigation in civil and commercial liability cases, including disputes in insurance, business, real estate, succession and securities. A member of the Bar of Quebec and the Bar of Ontario, Frédéric acts before all judicial authorities in these these two provinces.

His career has been distinguished by his experience in law firms that have allowed him to gain valuable insight into international arbitration cases. Frédéric is an additional resource for the consulting team in the area of commercial agreements and business strategies, which may include the drafting of partnership, financing, leasing, franchising and licensing agreements.

Frédéric is a graduate of McGill University and the Université de Montréal. He studied at the University of Birmingham (England) where he obtained a Diploma in English Law and at Pennsylvania State University (United States) where he obtained a Diploma in International Arbitration. He is also a member of associations including the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners Association (YCAP) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) in London.
