Gascon is proud to announce the arrival of two more jurists to its team.

Notary Joannie Jacques has nearly ten years of experience in firms in the Montérégie and Centre-du-Québec regions. Since the beginning of her career, she has focused her practice on commercial real estate, corporate financing and commercial law.

Joannie will continue to develop her expertise in the areas of structuring large-scale financing, drafting title opinions, and managing progressive disbursements in construction cases, all of which will benefit Gascon’s clients.

Joannie will be called upon to assume an active role in various real estate transactions, including the sale of buildings, easements and commercial leases. She will also be involved in business law matters relating to the start-up, reorganization and sale of businesses, as well as the drafting of shareholders’ agreements. Her expertise is complementary to that of the firm’s team.

Since 2020, Joannie has been supporting the promotion of women’s entrepreneurship by working as an expert advisor for the Femmessor organization. Joannie holds a law degree and a graduate degree in notarial law from the University of Sherbrooke.

From the same alma mater, Lucas Cesarrato-Desrosiers, a recent law school graduate, joins the firm’s business law team. He will focus his practice on real estate law, corporate law and transactions.

He is pleased to be joining a growing firm and looks forward to the opportunity to expand his practice by joining an established firm.

Previously, Lucas completed his internship at a boutique law firm in Montreal where he focused on commercial transactions and insurance matters of national interest. He also simultaneously acquired an understanding of the corporate world by conducting business activities for a Montreal-based start-up company focused on the development and commercialization of probiotics for the sinuses.

Gascon welcomes them to the team.
