Sam Coppola is part of our tax and commercial law department. He has concentrated his practice in entertainment, media and commercial tax law. His practice in a “paperless” environment maximizes the use of current technologies. In this area he authored: Achieving the Paper-less Office, as part of the Leg@lIT 3.0 Conference, Montréal, Québec.

From the beginning of his career, he has been involved in tax planning, corporate reorganizations, business acquisitions and financing on both the national and international scale. His practice has led him to be involved in all areas of entertainment law, including film, TV, music, video games, technology, web and he also developed particular expertise in worldwide tax credits and structuring co-productions and ventures with Canadian, U.S., European and Asian companies.

In 2014, Sam Coppola was named Lawyer of the Year in Entertainment Law in Québec by the American publisher Best Lawyers.
